Aleksandar Stipčić—better known as Alex Cigar Dandy—is set to return to Poland. Polski Aficionado will be on-site to meet with one of the most recognizable figures in the global cigar community. Here’s what we know so far.
Cigar enthusiasts in Poland have something to look forward to. Aleksandar Stipčić—better known on Instagram as Alex Cigar Dandy—will once again visit the country. This marks his second appearance as part of an event organized by Premium Cigars.
Two cigar evenings are scheduled, with events set to take place in Katowice and Wrocław. Over the course of both nights, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a blind tasting session led by Stipčić.
Here’s what we know.
Aleksandar Stipčić, known as Alex Cigar Dandy, Returns to Poland
Stipčić first visited Poland earlier this year for the opening of La Casa del Habano in Gdańsk, marking a new addition to the country’s cigar landscape. Ahead of the official opening, he also made an appearance at the La Casa del Habano location in Warsaw.
The event generated considerable interest, underscoring Stipčić’s growing popularity among Polish cigar enthusiasts. With demand exceeding expectations, it didn’t take long for organizers to arrange a return visit.
This time, the format expands to two separate events in different cities, giving a broader audience the opportunity to attend.
Katowice Event at Old Havana
The first event is scheduled for April 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Old Havana in Katowice.
The evening will include one mystery cigar, along with an H. Upmann Connoisseur B (LCDH/Habanos Specialist). The tasting will also feature a curated pairing of three spirits: whisky, cognac, and rum.
Wrocław Event at Old Havana
The second event is scheduled for April 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Old Havana in Wrocław.
As in Katowice, the evening will feature a blind tasting session, along with a Romeo y Julieta Cupidos (LCDH/Habanos Specialist). The cigar experience will be accompanied by a Diageo pairing, including Dailuaine 21 Year Old (Marbled Treasures, 2025 Special Release), Lagavulin 12 Year Old (Grain & Embers, 2025 Special Release), and Oban 12 Year Old (Heart of The Harbour, 2025 Special Release).
Polski Aficionado at Old Havana in Katowice
Polski Aficionado will be on-site in Katowice, having been invited by the event’s organizer, Premium Cigars. We’ll be attending the first evening, where we’ll also have the opportunity to sit down with Stipčić for an interview.
